Not too many custom cleats can be expected from the first week of training camp, but here’s the best of them:

Tom Brady broke out a new pair of Super Bads with a turf midsole and a Shark cleat pattern (similar to the midsole/outsole that he’s worn the past few years), but the really interesting thing in this photo is the absence of Randy Moss’ Pony signature cleats. Moss wore those Super Bad I’s, a Reebok model, and Super Bad II’s last year, but after all the hype about him signing with Pony, I’m surprised that he didn’t break out the new PE’s at camp (and I can’t imagine the folks at Pony are too happy). Thanks to Greg Riffenburgh for the photo.

Interesting pair of Reeboks on Tony Romo… they’re the Burner Speed Low, but apparently without the Reebok logo.

Brian Urlacher wore a white/orange Zoom Blade PE with a gold/chrome gradient outsole — pretty decent considering he won’t even wear these in games (the Bears wear black cleats).

It didn’t take too long for neon green cleat accents to show up in Seahawks camp… Julian Peterson’s Super Bad II PE’s appear above.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, I’m guessing that we’re probably going to see a lot of the Super Bad II this year in a lot of different colorways (especially since Nike went ID with them). Marshawn Lynch appears in his black/red PE above.

This may not look like a PE at first glance, but I think LaDainian Tomlinson’s LT-D cleats have some powder blue accents (swoosh border and cleat plate gradient) that aren’t available in the GR version, and these have a Super Bad II midsole as well.

Reggie Bush rocked his rookie cleats and his RB619 PE’s in workouts so far… he has yet to break out the Reggie II Superfly.

And finally, the last item of note is that Donovan McNabb has been wearing 2K4’s lately, but if he keeps them around, I’m guessing it’ll only be a matter of time before he blacks them out.
If you spot any other notable NFL cleats in the coming weeks, be sure to let me know.
