With Team USA practicing in Las Vegas in preparation for the Olympics, a couple footwear stories have developed — the main one being the conspiracy theory over whether Coach K’s block of Dwight Howard’s adidas kicks in the above photo was intentional or not. Regardless, here’s the breakdown of what everyone’s been wearing, and photos of Melo’s new M5 model are also shown after the jump…

LeBron James’ Soldier II Olympics PE and Carmelo Anthony’s M3 appear above…

…Olympic colorways of Dwyane Wade’s Converse Wade 1.3 and Chris Paul’s Jordan CP…

…and everyone else is wearing Hyperdunks. They feature the same Team USA patch on the tongue of Lebron’s shoes and player name embroidery on the medial toe. The pairs worn by Kobe Bryant and Michael Redd are shown above.
Most of the players have been wearing the same shoes on the practice court, but here are a few exceptions:

Jason Kidd returned to his standard Zoom Brave II and Dwight Howard’s adidas Rapid Bounce PE’s are also shown above (see more on Howard’s kicks at Dime Magazine), but the big story here is Carmelo’s debut of the Jordan Melo M5. An additional view appears below:

I’ll keep my eye on the photo wire… hopefully additional shots of the new M5 will show up soon.
